Prof. Takeshi Yoshimura, MD, PhD, MPH
Graduated from Faculty of Medicine at Kyushu Univ. with MD in 1967. Graduated from Docter course with PhD in 1971. Graduated from Harvard School of Public Health with MPH in 1975, supported by IARC. In 1984, appointed as Professor at Dep. Clinical Epidemiology in UOEH (Univ. Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan) for 20 years. In 1992, Director of Institutes of Industrial Ecological Sciences at UOEH. In 2004, appointed as Director of Fukuoka Institute of Health and Environmental Sciences. Appointed as Professor of Fukuoka Women’s University, in 2004. In 2016, appointed as Director and Professor at Emergency Life-Saving Technique Academy of Kyushu. During my carrier, I have been a Course organizer and Faculty member for International Course in Occupational Health by JICA at UOEH, and a Faculty Member for the International Course for Cancer Epidemiology by IARC. Foreign member of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, since 2000. Elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2004 at Japan Epidemiological Association. Elected as Western Pacific regional Councilor 1999-2005 at International Epidemiological Association. Major academic interesting field are epidemiology and prevention in the public health field with 150 abroad experiences in 50 countries.
