ICLAM Mumbai invites Abstracts/Essay papers for oral presentation at ICLAM conference on 10th to 13th November 2019 at Mumbai

Experts and researchers from Insurance and allied industry are invited to submit abstracts /Essay papers on topics with Insurance specific themes and subthemes  

Topics for Abstract/Essay paper is not restricted to but may belong to the insurance areas listed below   
  • Advances in Medicine and impact on mortality/morbidity

  • Medical updates and insurance implications (Genetics,Cancer,Alzheimer's,mental health,etc)

  • Big Data and implications in insurance and medicine

  • Changes in definitions in CI and Terminal illness – Impact of medical advances and other issues

  • Aging and Elderly UW

  • Disability and Return to Work claims related topic

  • Disability Evaluation and management

  • Block chain and insurance- the fundamentals

  • Wearables and Digital Health

  • Substandard risk , Impaired lives

  • Product development – Innovation

  • Claims management and Underwriting – New frontiers

Abstract/Essay paper Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract/Essay may only be submitted online

             www.iclam.org  or www.iclammumbai2019.org

  • Abstract/Essay must be sent through the Conference online platform using a word doc, docx format .

  • Abstracts/Essay papers must be typed in single –space in English using at least 10 point size font  and should not exceed  1000 words.  This does not include the Abstract title, authors and their affiliations and references.

  • Title should not exceed 100 characters and should clearly describe topic under study

  • Abstract should include Introduction, Method,Observations/Results and Conclusions

  • Essay paper should include Introduction , Review , Future impact in Insurance industry

  • Figures or graphs can be included in the Abstract ( each may be considered equivalent to 200 characters )

  • During the Abstract/ Essay Paper submission process, presenting authors name should be in Bold

  • References should be typed as per the Vancouver style, as follows:

    1. For periodicals /Journals- Author/s, title of article, periodical, year, volume number, first page, last page.

    2. For books with personal authors: Author (s), title of the book, edition, publisher, year, pages.

    3. For multi-author books: Authors, chapter title, names of editors, title of the book, edition, publishers, city of publication, year, pages,

  • A maximum of 2 Abstract/ Essay Papers can be submitted by the same first author

Abstract /Essay Paper review and notifications

  • After the review by the scientific committee, authors will be notified about results by September 15, 2019.

  • In order to have the Abstract/ Essay Papers included in the final programme all presenting authors must register for the Conference.

  • There will be two prize winning Abstracts and one Essay paper winner. The Winners will be announced in Sept 2019 and will be allocated a slot for presentation. Presentations will  be in English for a period of 10 minutes (maximum 10 slides)
